Everything that is Essential, Nothing that is Not
adidas Originals relaunches the 1990’s design icon, EQT footwear, at Berlin Fashion Week
At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, adidas Originals celebrated the relaunch of one of the most influential models from the adidas archive: Equipment. The 1990s icon returned to its birthplace of Berlin. The brand with the 3-Stripes celebrated the comeback yesterday evening in front of an audience of approximately 1,200 invited guests at the Vollgutlager venue in Berlin Neukölln. The guests included model Lena Gercke, the German musician Cro and fashion blogger Maja Wyh. The highlight of the evening was American rapper Pusha T, who treated guests to a special performance, celebrating “Everything that is essential. Nothing that is not.” At midnight, guests experienced a preview of the new adidas Originals campaign original, with the debut of the film Original is never finished.
adidas Originals will be pulling out all the stops again over the next few days with the EQT Exhibition. A unique exhibition has been created in conjunction with EQT icon Marc Leuschner (owner of Overkill), showing more than 30 years of Equipment history. The opening times are 12 noon to 8 pm from Wednesday to Saturday.
“In addition to the new shoe models, a photo cube and design installations provide a varied range of entertainment. Paying homage to the video game Tetris® (www.tetris.com), which achieved worldwide fame in the early 90s, adidas Originals has created a version of the game that allows consumers to engage with the EQT product line in a fun way. To test your gaming skills, play Tetris to unlock the new silhouettes. Further information about the exhibition is available at: https://www.facebook.com/events/596038257250152/
Tetris fans can also visit Tetris on Facebook (www.facebook.com/Tetris), Twitter (@Tetris_Official) and Instagram (@Tetris_Official).
